Chalkboard Menu for the Pantry Door

Look what my kids let me make this week? (ha. ha.) I meal plan every week. Now instead of having our menu for the week on a post-it on the fridge, I have this cute chalkboard sign to let the world know what we're eating. And it was easy - no stencil painting!

I simply bought a large framed chalkboard for $9.99 from Joann's and hot glued twine in the grid pattern (after measuring and marking even spaces, of course), then Mod Podged scrapbook letters for the title and days of the week.

And I love it. And I'm making dirty rice tonight - my husband's favorite.

The 10-20-30-40-50 Workout

I get asked what I do for exercise quite often. I, in no way, have the perfect body, but I am in pretty decent shape and I think it is always important to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle whether you're a mom or not. I don't think being a mom is an excuse to not be healthy (and just so y'all know, being healthy doesn't mean we don't have stretch marks or extra cushion. AmIright?) but I do understand dedicating a large quantity of your day to fitness is really difficult. In addition to having a desire to be healthy, I workout because food. I love it. And I don't want to stop eating it. So I workout. I take one kickboxing/insanity class each week at a local church (I LOVE IT!) but other than that I'm on my own for exercise. Running is usually my go-to - it has always been relaxing, calming and therapeutic to me. Then my kids turned 2 and 4 and I was like 'holy cow! Is there an actual COW in this stroller I'm pushing? One that won...

Good Evening! World's worst blogger here. (Seriously. I will never be consistent here, folks.) But I have some meal prepping for you: 20 meals for less than $200. I'm not sure the exact amount because I bought groceries for the week and a year's supply of baking ingredients (for all the Christmas goodies) and frankly, I don't want to do the math. But it's definitely in the just under $200 ball park. Let's get started... Menu | Simple Spaghetti & Meatballs Tuscan Chicken Cajun Smoked Sausage & Rice Pulled Pork Pork Tacos Teriyaki Salmon Vegetarian Chili Chuck Roast Winger's Chicken and Waffles Southwest Chicken Y'all. These are the most simple meals to throw together. Because Christmas. And I'm not going to busy myself being extra when I want to enjoy the holidays. It took me about an hour. Grocery List | 2 packages of spaghetti noodles 2 packages of rigatoni 1-2 cartons of broth (this is to add to the meals when cookin...
